Catherine Reitz is a painter working in Cleveland, Ohio. Reitz’s paintings are memories of experiences in midwestern environments. These surroundings of flourishing plant-like shapes contemplate the complexity and preciousness of nature in everyday life. She depicts and records nature’s beauty through acrylic paint on stretched canvas. Reitz received her Bachelor in Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2020. She has received the Gund Family Scholarship, the Dorothe L. Niebes ’37 Memorial Painting Award in 2018, the Board Honorable Mention and the David and Ann Deming Award for the painting Fragility in 2019. She currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio.
